Parks & Recreation Sports

The safety of our community is of utmost importance to Wayne Township and the Department of Parks & Recreation. Given the ongoing impact of COVID-19, the Township has continued to follow the guidance provided by the State of New Jersey and the office of Governor Murphy. The following guidelines are currently in place:

All Township Parks are currently open for passive use. Tennis Courts are open for active use. Basketball Courts and Playgrounds remain closed. Athletic Field reservations are not being accepted at this time. Groups are not to congregate for athletic competition.

Senior Bus service remains limited to grocery store and medical appointments only.

As of Monday, May 18, 2020, the Township is awaiting guidance from the Governor’s Office on the operation of aquatics facilities. Once pool guidelines are issued, the Township will open the James W. Roe Memorial Pool and Tom’s Lake at Captain Kilroy Park at a date to be determined. Seasonal memberships are now available for purchase online through or by mail-in registration.
