Wayne Drinking Water Notice

The Township of Wayne Division of Water is a purchaser of water from the North Jersey District Water Supply Commission (NJDWSC). We were notified that the NJDWSC did not meet the treatment requirements and violated a drinking water requirement. The Township of Wayne-Division of Water is required to notify its customers of this event.

What Was Done?  Wayne received complaints of taste and odor during this time period. We flushed the water mains in the areas of complaints and took chlorine level samples throughout the Township. The chlorine levels were higher than the normal levels, but not above the allowable limits.
