POLICE CANDIDATE TEST FOR 2008

 

The next Police Officer candidate test will be administered sometime during the spring of 2011. 

 

No lateral transfers.

 

No resumes accepted at this time.

 

The police candidate testing process for 2008 is Closed.

  1. He/she shall be a citizen of the United States.

  2. Each applicant shall be at least 21 and no more than 35 years of age at the time of appointment to full-time position in the Department as evidenced by a birth certificate.

  3. He/she shall possess formal education or training as evidenced by a senior high school graduation certificate or an equivalency certificate.

  4. He/she shall have one of the following:

    1. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; or

    2. 60 credits from an accredited college or university and two (2) full years as a full time police officer.

    3. 60 credits from an accredited college or university and two (2) consecutive years of service in the armed forces of the United States, with an honorable discharge.

  5. He/she must not have been convicted of any crime of the first, second, third or fourth degree, as designated by the Criminal Code of New Jersey, or a crime or felony offense in any other jurisdiction that involved moral turpitude or, at the time of application, is undergoing or awaiting court action of any kind in regard to such a crime or felony offense.
