Delete All Messages in the Deleted Items Folder

To delete all of the messages in the Deleted Items folder:

1. If the folder list is not already open, then, on the Navigation pane, click on the Show/Hide Folders button. All of the Outlook folders display.

2. Click on the Deleted Items folder. The Deleted Items folder is highlighted.

3. Click on the Empty Deleted Items toolbar button. A message displays that says "Are you sure you want to permanently delete all the items and subfolders in the Deleted Items folder?"

4. Click on the Yes button. All of the items in the Deleted Items folder are deleted.
