Wayne Industrial And Economic Development Commission

The Industrial Commission of the Township of Wayne, New Jersey, was created by Ordinance on January 11, 1962. The Mayor of Wayne appointed the initial seven members to the commission for terms varying from one to five years expiring on December 31st each year. By-laws were adopted to govern the operation of the Commission.

 

The purpose of the Commission is to promote the Industrial Commercial business advantages and opportunities in the Township of Wayne. It also monitors availability of land for Industrial Commercial business settlement and redevelopment. The Commission solicits industries and businesses it thinks desirable to purchase lands within the Township and to do all things as may be necessary within the tenets of governing status to encourage and accomplish the orderly industrial development of the Township of Wayne.

 

The present commissioners are as follows:

  • William C. Hanse

  • Benard Thomas, Jr.

  • Solomon W. Masters

  • Arthur Guida

  • George Massood

  • Kathe Crimmins

  • Howard Weinberg

The commission meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, except July, August and December, in the Mayor's conference room of the municipal complex.
