Health Department Special Business Hours for May

The Wayne Health Department will close early on May 6, 13 and 20, 2008.  Business hours will be 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.  The Department will not be holding any evening hours on these dates.

Junior Police Academy: Application Acceptance May 7th

Each year, a one-week academy is held for Wayne youths between the ages of ten and thirteen years old, and represents an overall view of the duties of a Wayne Police Officer. Since 2007, over eighty Wayne “recruits” attended and graduated our Junior Police Academy.

Parks & Recreation Swim Season: May through September

Registration begins in April 2008, with swim facilities open Saturday,  May 24, 2008 through Monday, September 1, 2008. Half hour swim lessons begin at 10:00 A.M. at both facilities beginning in late June.  Swim Team practice starts in June at North Cove.  Meets are held at home and away.  Ages 6 - 17 welcome.
