	F2008052 - Bernie Rottweiler Dog aged 1 years and 1 months. Details Hi my name is Bernie! I am a one year old male Rottweiler. I have a very sad history, but I'm hoping desperately that my future will be brighter. I was found running at large in Wayne, I was emaciated and starving. A nice woman fed me hamburgers on her deck and called Animal Control. When they came to pick me up, it was very difficult to catch me, because I was afraid of everyone. They finally got me here to the shelter and realized that I had been abused in the past, which is why I was so afraid of everyone. Due to the abuse, I have severe infections in both of my ears which will require surgery. This surgery will cost about $2000, and may result in my becoming deaf. The shelter unfortunately doesn't have the funds to pay for my surgery, they have me on anti-inflammatory medication to reduce the swelling, and on pain medication to make me as comfortable as possible. I need this surgery as soon as possible, and the shelter is trying to find either a home for me with someone who can afford my surgery, or a Rottweiler rescue group that can help me. The vet doesn't think it's fair to let me stay in this kind of pain for very long, so my situation is desperate. Won't you please help me by making a place in your heart and home for me?
