The Division of Water and Sewer manages, operates, maintains and makes minor extensions of the Township water storage facilities, aqueducts, distribution mains, hydrants, valves and other structures, facilities and appurtenances of the water works operated by the Township for supplying its customers. The Township operates approximately 260 miles of mains, 6 water pumping stations, and 5 large water storage tanks. Water usage averages 6.5 million gallons per day, and is supplied fully by the Wanaque/South Water Supply project, in which the Township is a partner.

 

This Division also maintains and operates over 240 miles of sanitary sewer mains and 7 sewage pump stations.

 

This Division is headed by the Superintendent of Water and Sewer, and is located at the Department of Public Works Garage Complex at 201 Dey Road.
