Roads within Wayne Township are maintained by three government entities depending upon their ownership.

The Township continues to receive numerous complaints about the terrible condition of various roads and the number of large, hazardous potholes. Most of the complaints we receive are about roads that are owned, plowed and maintained by the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders or the NJ State Department of Transportation.

To report a Pot Hole or Road Damage, please notify the appropriate entity below:

TOWNSHIP ROADS: Wayne Road Department by email or by phone at 973-694-1800, extension 4322. Any complaint that the Township receives about potholes on a Town owed and maintained road will be responded to in a expeditious manner.
STATE ROADS (Route 23, 46, 80 and College Road): New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) by phone at 973-770-5000
PASSAIC COUNTY ROADS (See List Below): Passaic County Road Division by phone at 973-881-4500, or you can email Freeholder Director James at bruce.james@passaiccountynj.org.
