Division of Information Technologies

The Division of Information Technologies (IT) is responsible for providing technical support to all departments and divisions of Wayne Township. The support that the IT Division provides includes, but is not limited to, word & data processing solutions, data communications, database applications, networking solutions, telecommunications and web interfacing applications. This requires analysis of each department and division's specific computer hardware and software requirements and the design, development, procurement and implementation of it.

A key IT goal is developing and implementing procedures and guidelines to enhance data integrity, system maintenance, reliability and security. Advising senior management of emerging technologies that will enhance their ability to make informed business decisions is another aspect of the IT Division's responsibilities. In addition, the IT Division is responsible for hardware and software integration to facilitate data sharing between wired, wireless and voice systems to promote anytime, anywhere communication.

The IT Division is headed by the Division Director, Scott Pasternak. The Division is located in the Health Department Wing of Town Hall and consists of an environmentally controlled computer room, an environmentally controlled telecommunications room, training classroom equipped with an instructor's computer with projector and student computers, a technician's lab for the repair of equipment and administrative offices.
