Recycling Update for 2015

Public TV and Emergency AM Radio

WayneAM1690Wayne Emergency Radio, AM 1690, broadcasts notifications of emergent situations affecting the Township. The system is a special low power broadcast approved by the FCC designed primarily for on-street or outdoor coverage. They system also monitors the National Weather Service and automatically re-broadcasts any weather related notifications in our area. Additionally, since the system is a special low power broadcast design for on street coverage, we also stream the broadcast on the Internet.

Goverment Energy Aggregation Program

Municipalities have the ability to pool together the energy usage of all their residents to obtain a lower energy supply price than what the Local Distribution Company is currently charging. If they get a lower price, they can then offer it to all their residents.

Residents should be aware of receiving phone calls from salespeople claiming to represent the Township with respect to the Passaic County Energy Aggregation Program. Please note that the Passaic County consultant will never call or knock on your door. All contact will be made only through the mail from Commercial Utility Consultants (CUC) or Concord Energy. Should you have any questions related to this program please contact 855-200-2648 or visit www.njaggregation.us/pcecps.
