Each year, Wayne Township prepares an annual budget that is approved by the Township Council and the State of New Jersey. This process starts when municipal department heads submit their budget proposals for review by the Business Administrator and the Finance Department. After review and revision, the budget is introduced to the Township Council for approval. If approved by the Council, the budget is then submitted to the Division of Local Government Services in Trenton for its review and approval.
